Seal impression: Capitular seal
An elevation of the west front of the cathedral. Over the p[ortal is a bust of the saviour within a tympanum inscribed: IHC XC: on its corbel is inscribed likewise: EST . DOMVS . H . XPI, a rhyming verse completed in the base upon the embattled walls of the city: MVRI . METROPOL' .ISTI . Set in each side tower in a quatrefoil recess, a tonsured monk; in inferior position and under a rounded arch, dext. St. Dunstan, sin. St. Alphege. In field, above the cathedral roof and to either side of the central tower, a censer-swinging angel.
