Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body sloping inwards at the shoulder to a cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, square-shouldered scrolled loop handle with gadrooned edges, the exterior body moulded with around the lower body a raised band of acanthus leaves, around the middle of the body three bands of simplified wheel and cross flower forms on raised square pads, a round the shoulder a band of fluting, around the neck a band of raised pendant lines; the moulded acanthus leaves, wheel and cross flower forms, fluting and pendant lines picked out in pink lustre, around the shoulder a running pattern of leaves and berries in pink lustre, a pink lustre band around the interior lip-rim, a pink lustre edge to the lip-rim, the handle decorated with stylized leaves in pink lustre between two pink lustre bands. The spout broken and repaired.
