Dinorwig slate quarry, photograph
Dinorwig Quarry showing from right to left John Owen (Bethel), W.H.Davies (Nant Peris), and Owen William Humphreys (Nant Peris). The three men are photographed sitting on a steam engine out side the ‘cwt pwyso’ (or weighing shed) at Sinc Pant Ceubran, Dinorwig Quarry. One of the men photographed, Owen William Humphreys, was a steward at Dinorwig Quarry between 1946 and 1969 (when the quarry closed in 1969 he became redundant).
