BRAY, Betty (Betty Bray is an artist working in the media of printmaking, painting and ceramics. Bray works from her Riverside Park Studio in Burradoo, which overlooks the Wingecarribee River in the Southern Highlands.
Bray is fascinated by the rhythm and structure of nature, organic forms and ancient civilizations. The seasonal changes, the natural bush and an established European garden offer continuous inspirational material through out four distinct seasons. Frequents travels to the Northern Territory, the Kimberley Region and the South Coast of New South Wales also provide inspiration.
As a printmaker Bray works in woodblock, linocut, wood engraving and etching. Recent technical exploration has extended to transferring her prints onto her ceramic objects.)
