Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, with a pale greenish buff translucency; standing on a slightly flared deep foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; lobed lip with five large and five small lobes, moulded with c-scrolls and ribbon-tied flowers and foliage; groove moulded cavetto; painted with three flower sprays around the cavetto and one small spray in the centre; around the edge, within each c-scroll moulding, two butterflies, one wild rose, and two fruits; gilt dentilled lip.
