Seal impression: Winchester Episcopal
Within three niches under octagonal canopies, centre: the Blessed Virgin seated with her Child: dext. St.Peter with his key; sin. the bearded figure of St.Paul with his sword. In base, in a rectangular niche, a shield: two chevronels between three roses, WYKEHAM: supported from above by a winged angel. To either side, in smaller niches: dext. the bishop kneeling; sin. ? St.Swithin with a long cross. Beaded borders. For the first time on an episcopal seal, the legend includes the Bishop's surname.
