Tea bowl and saucer

Tea bowl, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a straight-sided tapering foot-rim, rounded sides; the exterior sides delicately painted with around the upper body a band of puce palmettes between two gilt bands, the lower of which is ornamented with regularly spaced small gilt scrolls from which issue swags of flowers in green which extend down the sides of the bowl, a small spray of green flowers to the interior bottom of the bowl, a gilt band around the middle of the foot-rim, a gilt dentil edge to the lip-rim. Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, circular shape with rounded foot-rim and curving sides; delicately painted in the same manner as on the cup with around the sides of the well a band of puce palmettes between two gilt bands, the lower of which is ornamented with regularly spaced small gilt scrolls from which issue swags of flowers in green which extend down the sides of the well, a gilt dentil edge to the rim.
