Fragments, rejoined, which formed a medial part of a frieze
The inscription, on a long frieze, records the restoration of part of the Headquarters.
[Imperatores] Caesares L(ucius) Septi[mius Severus Pius Pertinax Aug(ustus) et M(arcus) Aurelius] / [Antoninus A]ug(ustus) et [P(ublius)] Septimius [Geta nobilissimus Caesar … / vetustate c]orruptum […restituerunt]
‘The Emperor-Caesars Lucius Septimius Severus Pius Pertinax Augustus and Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus (Caracalla) and Publius Septimius Geta, most noble Caesar …[restored the building] ruined by age.’
