A conical cup with a footstand
Samian cup with makers stamp, found at Segontium, Caernarfon. 120-200 CE.
The Romans mass-produced pottery and transported it across their empire. Most of the pottery used in Wales was produced locally but the Romans imported this glossy red slipware from Gaul, now France.
