Full title :- Union dues payment card for the Amalgamated Union of Building Trade Workers of Great Britain & Ireland. Issued to J.E.Iles and expired December 1930. Blue card covers with inside printed to allow details of payment to be filled in. Attached by 2 staples is some pink blotting paper and details of benefits etc.

Issued to James Edward Iles who lived at 18 Devon Street. He was foreman for Knox & Wells for a number of years and worked on Merrett's Bakery in the Newport Road area and the old Canton Cinema. For the last 20/30 years of his working life he worked for S.A. Brain in maintenance work on the old Brewery and their various public houses.
