Neolithic flint leaf shaped arrowhead
A simple leaf-shaped arrowhead made ona flake with a white patination. The flake has only been worked on one face and the face that is flaked has marginal working on it. It has an ogival shape.
Flint leaf-shaped arrowhead, 4000-3000 BCE, from Merthyr Mawr, south-east Wales. Pieces of bone or antler were used to press thin flakes from the edge of a piece of flint.
