ss AYLESBURY (6327 gt) : Cargo ship built 1941 by C.Connell & Co Ltd, Glasgow as EMPIRE GLEN for the British Ministry of War Transport. 1945 : Sold to Alexander Shipping Co. and renamed AYLESBURY, managed by Capper, Alexander & Co. 1948 : Sold to Gibbs & Co, Cardiff and renamed WEST WALES. 1960: Sold to Iranian Lloyd Co Ltd, Teheran, Iran and renamed PERSIAN XERXES. In September 1964, she was sold to Frank Rijsdijk for demolition at Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Holland.
