Inkstand, rectangular plinth, on which is a draped pedestal bearing a seated biscuit putto holding aloft an interlaced trail of flowers, modelled with two books in the foreground, and with a miniature vase (per holder) to the left and a basin (inkwell) to right; pedestal with gilt ground, sides painted with a band of polychrome flowers, and the top tooled; vase and books naturalistically enamelled and gilded, lip (tooled) and foot of basin gilded. Left side of the base recessed and glazed
