Post-Medieval copper alloy mount
Domed stud/ mount of six-lobed or sexfoil rosette form. The tear-shaped lobes or petals are defined by grooves, radiating from the centre. The rear of the mount is hollowed and was attached using an integral, square-sectioned rivet which is complete but distorted. The face was heavily gilded but is now corroded, with no evidence of gilding on the rear.
