Dessert dish, round, Swansea 'duck egg' paste, greenish translucency, slight green tinge to the glaze, heavily potted, prominent foot rim, cruciform moulding of four large and four small lobes; centre painted in polychrome enamels with a basket woven in lattice and vertical wicker, overflowing with garden flowers, on a background of earth, grass and flowering plants; cavetto with a border of scrolled and seeded gilding, rim painted with three butterflies within a gilt dentil border.
