Seal impression: Monastic
Under a triple canopy, centre: St Peter seated wearing the tiara, and holding key and primatial cross; under his feet, a bird. Dext: an altar bearing a chalice; above it, a canopy - by which ? a lamp. Sin. the abbot standing mitred, with book and staff; overhead is a ? roundel (or possibly the initial, G. for Geoffery of Croyland, abbot: 122-1321). In field, to either side, a buttress of masonry; above, to each side of central finial, a shield: two keys in saltire, PETERBOROUGH ABBEY.
