Statue
Carving of Christ on the Cross (the Rood) based on the rood figure (1358-80) found at Mochdre, now in the collection of the National Museum of Wales. The statue was carved from oak by master carver Emyr Hughes (from Llangollen, now living in Gloucestershire). It was painted by Fleur Kelly from Mells, Nr Frome, Somerset, using natural pigments and gold leaf.
