Sugar bowl with cover
Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Sugar basin and cover, oval form, deep curved sides flaring outwards and moulded with a spiral flute, slightly inverted collar neck rising to an upturned scroll handle at each end, peaked spiral fluted cover, flat oval finial upturned at either end. Body on-glaze printed in red with two large groups vignettes of shells and seaweed, a large shell under each handle, body and lid with a continuous border of shells and seaweed, two groups of seaweed on lid. Red enamelled rims, and red line above foot.
