Seal impression: Archidiaconal
The archdeacon, tonsured and vesed, standing in the gate-way of a battlemented castle built upon rocks, rising from the lateral towers of which are, dext. (missing on this impression) a bust of St. Oswald with the initial O; sin. the mitred bust of St. Cuthbert with staff, and the initial, C. Arising from the central tower, ? a tiara.
