Bonnor, John Houghton Maurice (1875-1917)
Plaque and chain, enamelled copper mounted in brass on wood, the undulating copper panel enamelled with the Virgin and Child beside an over-arching rock in a landscape with distant buildings, mounted within a nailed brass frame onto a retangular wood panel suspended from an elaborate bronze chain comprising from top to bottom a cast crown, a bronze-mounted moonstone(?), a disc stamped in relief with floral, leaf and interwoven twig motifs from which hangs a bronze-mounted lozenge enamelled with a star on a blue ground, the elements of the chain connected by links of single and triple twisted wires.
