Tea canister
Tea canister, silver, oval 'commode' shape with flat bottom, vertical sides and flat hinged cover with cast knop in the form of a pineapple, a brass lock fixed inside opposite the hinge; the sides and top decorated with neo-classical 'bright-cut' engraving comprising borders with paterae, lozenges and quatrefoils round the foot, rim and edge of the cover, leaf festoons and oval medallions containing a coat of arms (Symes impaling Bowles) and a crest (the upper part of a rearing horse).
