Looped, round-sectioned, with plain blade and slight moulding on the socket at the base of the loop. The socket is slightly split.

Site Name: Abercynon, Rhondda Cynon Taff
Collection Method: chance find
Date: 19th century
Notes: Found during the construction of the Aberdare Railway, near Navigation House, Abercynon. Acquired by a dealer from a sale in Bournemouth in 1924, together with a sword fragment (25.58/2) which an old label suggests may have been found at the same time, though this is far from certain.
