Seal impression: Canterbury
Obverse. Within a cusped frame of eight spandrils, an embattled castle with three towers, each of two storeys, walls of masonry and a stepped causeway; within each of the five upper points, themselves cusped, a cinquefoil. In the lowest, a shield: three lions passant guardant in pale, ENGLAND. Within each spandril, a lion of England. On fine impressions, background diapered lozengy, a small quatrefoil in each compartment.
