Waistcoat
Men’s navy corduroy waistcoat made in 4 main pieces. The corduroy has a pattern of white spots woven into the fabric. It has a cream and red striped cotton lining and the back is made from black cotton sateen. There is a pocket on each front panel and a pocket watch pocket on the left side and lapels at the neck line. It has a CF fastening with 6 Mother of pearl buttons. The size can be adjusted by a strap and metal pronged clasp attached to the back of the waistcoat.
Worn by John Lovering for his wedding in 1867.
