Small, child's plate, earthenware, standing on a very narrow foot rim, cushion moulded sides, the rim in twelve panels, deep central well; transfer- printed in brown with a bespectacled cobbler at work seated on a bench in a roadway, a woman behind with her hands in a wash tub, in the background a selection of town houses, a church with a tower, a covered cart and a male figure, the inscription encircling the scene, black band to outer rim.
