Medieval copper alloy purse mount
With stylized animals' heads on the bar.
Decorated, incomplete purse bar. Two arms with a central, globular block. Each arm is circular in cross-section, terminating in a recess. A small small rove has survived on one of the arms. A vertical circular hole runs vertically through the central block, through which a swivlling bar and attachment hoop is secured. Flat, rectangular flanges are found near the end of each arm, on the lower surface, each pierced with small holes (one with three holes, the other with two, for the suspension of the purse). The surface of each arm is decorated with double-line lattice-work design.
