Early Medieval iron hook
Small hook with iron socket containing traces of a wooden shaft or handle. The hook and socket, though both magnetic and therefore containing iron, have corroded differently, and must therefore be of somewhat different metals. In the present state of the piece it is not possible to say how the two components are fixed together.
