FORT CHESTERFIELD (7127gt) : North Sands type, built 1943 by Burrard Dry Dock Co., North Vancouver (engine by John Inglis Co Ltd., Toronto), for the Canadian Government, managed by Hain Steamship Co, London, for MoWT. 1946 – Transferred to MOT, managed by Goulandris Bros, London. 1949 – Sold to Soc Armadora del Norte, Panama, and renamed HAWK. 1954 – Ownership transferred to Bahia Salinas Cia Nav., Panama – same name. 1965 – Sold to Cabahamas Corp. Ltd., Bahamas, and renamed CABAHAWK. She was broken up at Kaohsiung in 1968.
