Teapot and cover
Teapot, white earthenware, short cylindrical foot-rim, globular body, short cylindrical neck, curving spout, plain loop handle, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a rose bud with a stem and leaves, a pierced steam hole to one side; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with around the body of the teapot the 'willow' pattern with pagodas, three figures crossing a bridge and two swallows flying above, an elaborate border around the rim of the cover with scrollwork and stylized flowers against a diapered ground, a lattice-pattern border to the handle, red-brown enamel lines around the neck, handle and lip of the spout, the finial painted blue.
