Bowl
Tarr, James C, ARCA (27/5/1905- /4/1996)
Bowl made of sections of polished wood and alabaster, high straight sided circular foot, the lower part made of a band of dense mid brown wood with a pronounced grain, the upper part of a large piece of alabaster turned to form well of bowl. Body of bowl curving outwards, formed of two bands of pale pink, orange and white alabaster with transluscent spots cut into sections, narrow rim of wood also cut into sections.
