ss SAMORESBY (7219gt) : Built 1944 by New England Shipbuilding Corp., South Portland, Maine, for MoWT – assigned to South American Saint Line (managed by B & S Shipping, Cardiff). She sailed in 7 convoys between her commissioning and June 1945. 1946 – Management transferred to Mungo, Campbell & Co.,Newcastle. 1948 – Returned to United States Maritime Commission and laid up at Wilmington, North Carolina. She was eventually broken up at Baltimore in January 1960.
