Part of a long rectangular tile, glazed white dust-pressed earthenware, printed to imitate two separate square tiles; the top square printed and enamelled with the arms of Myddelton of Chirk, argent on a bend vert three wolves' heads erased of the field, the lower square with an ochre ground overprinted and enamelled in iron red in imitation of an encaustic tile and bearing the Gothic monogram 'MB' charged with the trefoil of Biddulph for Middelton Biddulph.
