Bowl, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, rounded curving sides with a raised edge around the lower body, scalloped lip-rim; transfer-printed in black and overpainted in red, green, blue and yellow with the 'Bombay Japan' pattern, to the centre of the well an oriental design with a Chinese vase standing on a patch of ground and issuing a flowering branch, further flowering branches to either side of the vase, the design enclosed within a circular diaper and flower head border, sprays of flowers and foliage to the interior and exterior sides, a narrow foliate border to the interior and exterior lip-rim. The lip-rim chipped, a crack to the lower body.
