Christening gown
Quilted christening gown with detached sleeves, 1722. Worn by Peter Morgan of Golden Grove, Holywell, Flintshire when he was christened in Milan, Italy. Quilting pattern arranged in diamond shaped compartments. These compartments are filled with four different arrangements of motifs. Bordered with wavy floral stem design. Front closed by self-coloured ribbon bows.
