¾ Port Bow view of S.S. PAN TROOPER entering Cardiff Docks.
Built 1943 as North Sands type cargo vessel FORT WRIGLEY by Victoria Machinery Depot Co., Victorialis (engine by John Inglis Co Ltd, Toronto, Ontario) for MoWT (managed by George Nesbit & Co., Glasgow). 1948 – Sold to P & T Steamship Co., Montreal, and renamed PANTROOPER (managed by Papachristidis Co}. 1950 – Renamed ROYAL WILLIAM (same owner). 1954 – Sold to Asimarfield Shipping Corp., Monrovia, but retained her name. 1956 – Sold to L’Italica di Navigazione, Genoa, and renamed APPULO She was broken up at Vago Ligure, Italy in 1962.
