¾ Starboard bow view of S.S. BEATUS at Cardiff Docks.

One of the last vessels owned by W. H. Seager & Co. was the 7,442 gross ton steamer Beatus, built in British Columbia, Canada in 1942 as the standard 'Fort' type wartime vessel, Fort Tremblant. Built 1942 as FORT TREMBLANT by Victoria Machinery Depot Co Ltd., Victoria, BC (engine by John Inglis Co Ltd., Toronto), for MoWT, managed by W H Seager & Co., Cardiff. 1947 – Returned to the US Maritime Commission, then sold to Tempus Shipping Co., London, and renamed BEATUS (2), managed by W H Seager & Co., Cardiff. 1955 – Sold to Stanhope Steamship Co (J A Billmeir) and renamed STANLAND.
