FORT MATANZAS (10,448gt) : T2-SE-A1 tanker built 1944 by The Kaiser Company, Portland, Oregon, for the US War Shipping Administration (later, the US Maritime Commission). 1948 – Sold to Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Co Ltd., London, and renamed TROCHISCUS. 1955 – Owners restyled Shell Petroleum Co Ltd. (same name). 1960 – Transferred to Shell Tankers Ltd., London. She was broken up at Chiap Hua Manufactory Co. Ltd., Hong Kong in 1961.
