Snuffer tray
Snuffer tray, tin-plate, oblong in form with slightly raised sides and to one side an open ear-shaped loop handle, to one end of the tray a raised solid cone on which the snuffer would rest and a triangular rest for the extinguisher; covered all over with a black japan apart from the cone for the snuffer which is covered with a dark chocolate japan, a crimson-striped ground to the upperside decorated with scroll borders around the edge of the well and the rim to which the varnish has given a golden tinge, to the well four small floral bouquets in silver which appear to be unfinished.
