Roman copper alloy boss
Hollow boss in the shape of a domed frame of concavo-convex section. Three almond shaped fretted openings define a three-way figure. In the centre of the boss there is a small rivet hole. On the lower parts of two of the struts are pairs of parallel grooves. The struts and the basal ring are undercut to key in red enamel which was inserted at the back.
