Pistrucci, Benedetto (1784-1855
Distinguished Italian gem engraver, medallist and coin engraver. Worked in Rome and Florence before moving to London in 1815. Designated chief medallist of the Royal Mint in 1828, working alongside the Wyon family. His most famous work is the Waterloo Medallion.)
