Early Medieval human remains

These are moderately preserved remains from the inhumation burial of an older adult (45+) who's sex is unidentified.

The burial is from Phase M: 995-1122 AD

They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented Northwest-Southeast

Their bones exhibit signs of Degenerative Joint Disease and Schmorl Nodes (from spinal hernias) which can both be caused by repeated heavy labour and pregnancy. The individual had two kidney stones. The calcified masses are photographed in Plate 24 of the grey report on page 95. They don't seem to have been kept as objects. They experienced ante mortem tooth loss.

The burial is associated by proximity to SK199.
