Miniature plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with an embossed pattern of roses and tulips, the outer rim waved; transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a rural scene showing in the foreground a male figure dressed as a sportsman and bearing a gun, accompanied by two dogs, spreading trees and bushes dominate one side of the scene, in the background a distant house and mountains, black bands around the well and to the outer rim.
