Mug or ale pot of pale-grey stoneware, standing on a shallow, waisted foot, globular body, raised cordon at shoulder, broad cylindrical neck with raised band below lip rim; small strap handle; covered in a pale honey-brown wash, patchy to lower body, exposing the stoneware body, a light clear salt-glaze giving a freckled appearance; some plaster restoration to body and neck.
