Fabric

Day, Lucienne (Born Désirée Lucienne Conradi to an English mother and Belgian father)
Heal Fabrics (The company was founded in 1941 as Heal's Wholesale and Export, becoming Heal Fabrics in 1959, as the emphasis focussed increasingly on textile production. Heals purchased designs and then outsourced their production, retailing them through its department store, Heal & Son and other outlets.)

Upper part of a curtain, roller printed and monoprinted white cotton, curtain tape and some cotton seam binding attached; decorated with the 'Ducatoon' pattern designed by Lucienne Day, comprising uneven circles arranged in rows, printed and overprinted in a colourway incorporating light and dark blue, black, taupe and green.
