Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top, two pierced holes for suspension to the flange; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Contrast', showing two dogs in an indoors setting with furniture and ornaments, to the bottom of the scene is the inscription "CONTRAST", the print enclosed by a simple circular line border. The glaze slightly crazed, the flange chipped and worn.
