Apron
Apron worn by Gertrude Morgan (nee Davies) as a midwife at Morriston Hospital, about 1965.
Made from plain woven white cotton, constructed in four main pieces with three panels for the skirt and one for the bodice. Another thin section forms the waistband which has two cotton covered buttons at one end and two button holes at the other. The side skirt panels and bodice have darts to make the apron more fitted. There are two cotton loops on the inside top corners of the bodice for attaching it to the dress. The wearer's name and the hospital name are machine embroidered in green thread.
