Plate, earthenware, circular shape with slightly inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, eight notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in blue with a design of an old-fashioned sailing ship on an expanse of water with a design of flags, banners and drums below, diaper border to the rim with interspersed flower heads and scrolling foliage.
