Cup, two-handled
Two-handled cup, hybrid paste porcelain with an earthy buff translucency, and finely crackled glaze; standing on a square plinth, pedestal foot ridged above, rounded bowl flaring at lip; two scrolled loop handles enclosing rosette disc and terminating with moulded masks; one side painted with a circular panel containing a basket of flowers set on a black marble top, bordered by a gilt band and enclosed within a gilt foliate wreath; other side painted in gilt with two large foliate scrolls issuing smaller foliate tendrils; gilt foliate border to pedestal foot, gilt bands to the plinth, foot, interior and exterior of lip, gilt handles with the moulded rosettes left white.
