Spill vase
Spill-vase, thickly potted bone china, standing on a waisted spreading foot, slightly flaring cylindrical sides, wides flaring mouth with flat rim, beaded bands around the lower body and shoulder; painted in polchrome enamels with to one side of the body a rural scene showing in the foreground a standing male figure and a kneeling female figure by the side of a tall tree stump with a seated figure leaning against it, bushes in the background, the scene enclosed within a gilt frame issuing stylized gilt foliage, to the other side of the body a large elaborate motif in gilt of stylized scrolling foliage, gilt bands to the foot, the lower body, the shoulder, the neck and the rim.
