Type B two-deck dry cargo ship laid down as WAR TAPIR but completed 1919 by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd., Wallsend-on-Tyne, for F. Leyland & Co., Liverpool as ss BARBADIAN. 1933 Sold to N.G. Livanos, Chios, and renamed AXIOS. She became stranded off Sandheads in the River Hooghli, India, on 28 March 1944, and was declared a total loss.
